Water Sports -- Water Skiing, Kayaking, Swimming
|
The lake is shallow -- an average of 8 feet deep, 20 feet at the deepest -- which means it is warm, just right for water-skiing, particularly in the morning before the wind comes up, and windsurfing, particularly in the windy afternoon. Skidoos are also very popular at the lake. Kayaking and canoeing are quiet, still water activities that many enjoy. Swimming can be enjoyed, whether the water is still or choppy. It is shallow enough to create some nice "body-surfing" waves on windy days. Also, the Montana Fish & Game operate a day beach just a half mile down the road, with more sand, and a roped-off area for swimming. |
